The MUDHEAD BENEFIT CUP has become the “Go to Regatta” on the ECSA Circuit and 2012 promises another exciting weekend of music, food, racing and full out fun! And it’s all for a good cause - HOSPICE OF SOUTHEASTERN CONNECTICUT. Are you ready to make the most out of life?
EVERYONE’S INVITED TO RACE AND THE FEE IS FREE!
The Mudheads have made the most of our opportunities to manage races over the years. Our RC team has won the accolades of ECSA racers with Best Managed Race 4 of the last 5 years. This year, we again plan two racing circles. The Spinnaker circle will be doing a couple of Windward-Leewards with PHRF and One Design Classes. The Non Spinnaker circle will feature a point to point race around government marks in Fisher’s Island Sound.
Whether you raise one dollar or a thousand dollars, we want your happy, wet sanded bottom with us on July 21st. You must register in advance on the Registration page. If you can race it, bring it and we’ll find a class for it.
Friday night, July 20th The RACER’S JAM kicks off the festivities with a music fest featuring sailors who know the difference between a jib, a jibe and a jive. Drown out the sound with Cottrell Beer and a Noank Bar-B-Q. Bring your own instrument. Watch or Play. It’s Live!

SATURDAY, WE RACE FROM 11 TO 4!
Saturday night, it’s the infamous Mega Party under the tent at Mystic Shipyard. Dance to the music with Rock ‘n Soul Revue, gorge on a buffet dinner provided many of the best Mystic restaurants. Did we mention there’s plenty of rum, wine and beer? Well, duh!
We’ll have Trophies galore, the Hospice Cup and the Mudhead Benefit Cup for the top fundraiser. Raffles and Auctions, too! Join us for a boisterous blowout! And raise money for the wonderful work performed by Hospice of Southeastern Connecticut.
