We Are Hospice Southeastern Connecticut

Hospice Southeastern Connecticut provides coordinated, competent, compassionate care that is centered on the needs of patients and their families. We serve the needs of any age patient with life limiting diseases including heart-related conditions, AIDS, ALS, Alzheimer’s, cancer and other illnesses.

We also provide bereavement services free of charge to the entire community, regardless of whether the death was under our care. Our Expressive Arts program for children and teens and our adult support groups allow anyone who is grieving the loss of a loved one a safe and non-threatening environment to start the process of adjusting to a new life.

We are a community based, non-profit organization serving over 6,500 patients in New London County since 1985.
We are affiliated with both L&M and Backus Hospitals
We provide a network of support beginning with the patient’s primary care physician, including nurses, hospice aides, social workers, volunteers and many other services.
We receive Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance and participate in most managed care plans offered in Connecticut

A Philosophy of Care

When people learn they have a limited life expectancy, what to do and where to turn become overwhelming decisions. At a time when the world seems upside down, Hospice Southeastern Connecticut steps in and wraps patients and families in a circle of care.

Patients receive care in their own homes or a setting of choice surrounded by loved ones. Hope and comfort replace fear and anxiety. Hospice care is about patients and families achieving goals, having choices and living well.
